First Kids and Youth
FCCLR is a family-centered church, and being part of God’s church family is the best way we know to raise your child as a Christian in today’s world. Teaching the children to follow Jesus’ example, we encourage parents and other family members to model the same example of prayer and service. When children see loved and respected adults model a Christian life, they not only learn to follow God, but they gain the necessary tools to become a Christian leader. From birth through 4th grade, children are loved and valued in FCCLR Children’s Ministry where we provide for your children to learn and grow in their love for God. Week-to-Week Offerings
Infant Nursery
For Infants-4years offered during worship services and during the 9:30 teaching hour. Sundays 9:30 am–11:30. Nursery is at the end of the hall on the right.
Learn Time Classes
Children are offered classrooms complete with a Bible story, activities and manipulatives. Their weekly lessons are developed from and based on simple Bible stories from God’s Holy Word. Youth lessons are focused on understanding communion and baptism and what it means to be a Christian.
First Kids: K-4th grades Youth
Grades 5 and up
Curriculum
The curriculum used at FCCLR is designed and selected by the Christian Education Chair and Youth Director. Resources used support Disciples of Christ theology and doctrine and contain basic elements common to all Christians.
Safe Gatherings Campus
The safety and security of your child is a high priority at FCCLR. The church has policies and procedures that define guidelines, applications, screening, and appropriate hiring and training of staff and volunteers, procedures for drop off and release of children, and appropriate child-to-staff ratio requirements. Scouts Offerings
Scouting is adventure, family, fun, character, leadership and so much more! The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, providing programs for young people that build character.
Troop 57 serves as a place for boys, ages 11-17 to grow in all aspects of their character while serving their community.
